My EDM 310 Blog Assignment are now Complelet.

I lerand a lot of things in this classroom. I learned how wedsites are made. I learned how to make a payout table and that I will need to pay off my school loans. I would liked to learn how to make a grade book with excel. I learend how to use google in more ways. I learned a lot of new things about websites and I would like to say thank you for your time.

Wikipedia

Wikipedia looks likes it's ok. There are lots of information that is very quick to get and it's free. I would ues this to do all the research that I need for my classes. When you look you can see places where you can change information that is posted and that is not good for some people. I think that wikipedia can do better.

The Stanford Video

The standford video opens your mind and let's you see learning from a different view. Some students think that their brain is already at full capacity. When subject are hard for them, they think that they are not smart enough to do the work. Other students who believe their brain and mind is continually growing they work harder to overcome the harder subjects. Teachers had no ideal which students were being taught the growth method and which were being left alone with the fix knowledge. After a couple of weeks teachers could tell who was in the growth program.

This video is good for any elementary school teacher. I like the solar eclipse animation video. The eclipse video of the sun can be confusing to young students because it could be hard for them to understand when they first look at it. The video shows the solar eclipse and the moon passing in between the earth and the sun. This explains the whole process of how the sun and the moon are different sizes. I can used this vudeo in my classroom as an test or project. This is an very educational video for all students to learn from.

iTunes University

iTunes University provides away to access digital media for teachers and students. Students can research, download, and play course content just like music and movies. Many of large colleges are using this program. Duke University has a site for their students to enter in an oline competition. iTunes University is avaliable for almost anything that you will need for your classes.

iPods used in Universitys

I learnd that there are alot of university that uses ipods in there classrooms. The number of Duke university students using ipods in there classroom has quadrupled. The devices has doubled in the secound year of an effort to digital technology with academics. In 2006, 280 students in 19 courses used ipods as part of the duke ipod first year experience. So many students has there own personal computing devices and that the number has increase in using digital audio in coureses and images and video has expanded rapidly.

I understand were this teacher is coming from when he say that every student needs to learn how to be successful in the 21st century. Time is changing everyday and we need to change with it in our education. This teacher is saying that we do not have a lot of time to be giving students breaks and play time we need to help them be a somebody in life. This teachers showes his students movies about sucessful people and the students like the movies. This teacher is trying to get the other staff to see that if you show your students the movie that the movie could change their mine about there life and how they want to live a successful life.

To me i feel like that she is trying to make a change at the high school that she teaches at and there are other teachers who feel like that she is wasting her time in trying to teach technologically illiterate. She is saying that there is nothing wrong with teaching that. This teacher has a good standard for her students in her classroom and she feel like that they can do the work. I think that the high school should get behind her and show her that she is doing a good job with the students. She is also trying say is that technologically is a part off our life now and that we need to realize that. I feel like that she is making a stand for not her self but for other technologically teachers as well.

In Peru studenys are using laptops to blog and talk to other chidren around the world. The students are using a XO laptop that will bring a world of new ideas, images and materials. The teachers are very happy with the blogs because teaching is getting more interesting and less stressful.

Other teachers uses blogs to promote self expression so that the student can write what they feel. Students can have a personal space to read and write and share there ideas. Some teachers beleave that a global blog could truly introduce students to international culture or politics.

Some teacher blogs are attractive becauce they require a little effort to maintain. Teachers can build a blog or start a new topic in an existing blog. By simply typing a text into a box and clicking a button. Some school web sites are labor and clicking a button. Some school wed sites are labor and intensive and are left up to administratars and teacher. With blogging in classrooms it intended to be a vehicle for students.

ACCESS

Access will be very good to alot of students. Access is available at anytime and that is good for some students needs. You do not have to wake up early in morning to get ready for for school. This access can save alot of time in some people every day life. With this access you can talk to other students around the world and you can see what they are working on. I think that access can help students in subject that they are having a hard time in.

How I Would Use Alex In The Classroom

I would use Alex in my classroom to show the students that there are other ways to do their homework a head of time. I will use Alex to show students day by day classwork. I also would use Alex to show class movies

Alex has alot of material that the parents and students can view. Viewing this Alex website is showing me that a student can learn from their home on this website. This website showed me that you can learn everything that they teach you in school.

Alex is a very big help for the teachers and this website helps them on their lesson plan. I think that this website can help anyone who wants to learn more on how to create a lesson plan. This is a very neat website and I have to pass this own to other people.
